ScanContacts for HubSpot User Guide
1. Installation
1-1. Installing the mobile app
Install iOS app from App Store and Android app from Google Play.
* As of February 29, 2024, the Scan Contacts for HubSpot service is no longer available.
1-2. Connect with HubSpot
When using ScanContacts for HubSpot for the first time, please log in to your HubSpot account. If this is the first time your organization is using ScanContacts, you need to register by entering the company name, city, and state.
1-3. Scanning and uploading
Step 1
Standard Scan: Standard Scan mode lets you digitize up to 4 cards in one shot. Place the cards on a flat surface with a solid background. Then tap the shutter button when you see a blue circle at the center of each card.
Bulk Scan: Tap Bulk Scan in the bottom right corner to scan multiple cards continuously. Tap Done to start digitizing them.
Saved business card images/photos: Tap Library in the bottom right corner. Then select the image of the card you want to process. Align the card within the borders. Tap Done to start digitizing.
* Please note that you can only do 1 image at a time.
Step 2
Tap on a card to check the scan output. If necessary, edit the details and add notes for additional context. Include the card’s back/reverse side using Attach Image.
*On the editing screen, you can pinch and zoom to magnify the card image.
Step 3
Tap Upload to HubSpot to transfer the card data.
2. Managing contacts
2-1. Managing contacts on HubSpot
You can confirm the details of uploaded contacts in HubSpot. Business card images stay with the contacts. You can find them in the Attachments section.
2-2. Managing contacts on mobile app
To access past business cards you have scanned, tap History found at the bottom left corner of the app screen. Besides viewing your contacts, you can edit, delete, re-upload to HubSpot or export to your device’s contact list.
